With the fast charging system 40V batteries are charged to 100% in only 30 minutes (2Ah). The battery fast charger has exchangeable connection cables with optional VDE and BS plugs and is therefore suitable for various sockets so you can charge your batteries in the house, in the garage or in the tool shed. The GreenWorks G40LT33 is a powerful, lightweight and well-balanced grass trimmer. Featuring an adjustable front handle and a handy telescopic shaft for extra reach, the versatile G40LT33 is ideal for safely trimming long grass where your lawn mower cannot reach or edging borders with precision.

The line trimmer is equipped with a 33cm cutting head with 1.6mm diameter nylon line. The head rotates 90 degrees with a simple press of a button making the machine perfect for both trimming or edging. The built-in plant guard allows you to protect the bark at the base of trees by placing it against the trunk while you cut and to trim grass at the edge of a bed without damaging flowers and shrubs.

Comparable to a petrol-powered machine, the G40AB is 44 per cent lighter and produces up to 10 times less noise and vibration. Added to this, it is does not have the restraint of a power cord, the hassle of petrol and oil and is zero maintenance. The battery inserts at about a 45 degree angle making it easy to check the battery energy level by simply pushing a button located at the back of the battery which activates an LED display.

"This battery blower/vac has plenty of power to back it up and a nicely tapered blowing tube that gives you plenty of control to steer garden debris where you need it. It’s easy to operate – with an on/off switch and power toggle located a thumb stretch from the handle – and was very capable of breaking up and lifting the heavier materials that had been dumped on the turf.

For a heavier machine, it had good ergonomics and the battery location at the base of the handle balanced the unit well and made it easy to operate. The blowing nozzle was easily replaced by the vacuum tube and the extra handle made the unit easy to hold while working. Carrying the bag separately over your shoulder helps to distribute weight and means it doesn’t drag on the ground as you suck up the latest downfall.

We managed to eke out around five minutes of operation (on variable power settings) with one of the two 2Ah batteries that come with the kit, but having the two batteries will mean that you can keep switching one for the other to extend your working time in small to medium gardens."
