European brand AL-KO has packed some serious features into the Comfort 46.0 SP-A lawn mower. It is a very well constructed, powerful machine with an attractive price tag, ideally suited to lawns up to 1,400 square metres.

An efficient 139cc AL-KO Pro 145 QSS four-stroke engine delivers the power to the lawn mower's rotary cutting blade. The engine utilises Quick Start technology for reliable and hassle-free starting, whilst the overhead valve technology reduces fuel emissions and consumption, as well as vibration and noise levels.

The self-propelled function means the mower will more or less drive itself, which is a particularly useful feature when mowing on slopes. The XXL smooth running wheels ensure the mower is comfortable to operate and easy to manoeuvre, even over ground which is not even.

Built on an extra high 46cm (18") MAX AIRFLOW steel deck with large discharge channel, the AL-KO Comfort 46.0 SP-A benefits from the increased airflow beneath the cutting deck resulting in the grass clippings being thrown in a high arc into the back of the spacious 60 litre grass collector. This ensures that the collector is effectively filled from the back, without the discharge channel becoming blocked. Once the collector is full, the user is alerted by the integrated bag full indicator on the top of the grass collection box.

Flexibility is four-fold with the multi-function AL-KO 46.0 SP-A lawn mower, which offers you the choice of bagging, mulching, rear discharging or side discharging the grass clippings, so you are equipped to cope with anything from a fine, well-maintained lawn through to less formal, longer grass. Conveniently located on the side of the lawn mower is a single lever which is used to adjust the cutting height of the mower to the required height between 30mm and 80mm.

If you have limited space in your garage or shed, this Highline mower can be stored away vertically. The integrated upstanding function also allows easy access to the cutter deck for cleaning and maintenance.

This means the grass catcher is effectively filled from the back, without the discharge channel becoming blocked. Another bonus: The removable service flap for convenient mower maintenance. Full Catcher, Fewer Interruptions MaxAirflow technology means that the lawn clippings are thrown to the back of the grass catcher, as a result of which it is filled to the top and does not have to be emptied so often. No Green Fingers MaxAirflow technology means that it is even possible to mow long, damp grass without leaving clumps behind on the ground or blocking the discharge channel.
