The AL-KO Premium 474 SP-H, which is suitable for medium to large sized lawns up to 1,400 square metres, draws its power from a strong, reliable-starting 166cc Honda GCVx170 four-stroke engine with overhead valve technology and enhanced auto choke system.

Once on the move, the self-propelled capability means little to no pushing effort on your behalf, so the machine is well suited to lawns on an incline and those with rougher, uneven terrain. The XXL drive wheels further maximise manoeuvrability in long grass by providing better traction.

Equipped with a 46cm (18") steel cutting deck, AL-KO's MAXAIRFLOW deep-dome design increases its efficacy in all four mowing modes by 42%, and fills the large 70 litre grass collector to maximum capacity without blocking the large discharge channel. When the grass collection box does need emptying, the integrated bag full indicator will let you know.

The central height adjustment on the AL-KO Premium 470 SP-H allows you to adjust the cutting height easily with just one spring-assisted lever, to give a range between 30mm and 80mm through seven pre-set stages.

As with all lawn mowers in the Premium range, the storage, cleaning and maintenance of the mower's cutter deck are all facilitated by AL-KO's clever vertical storage position.

As a result, the grass clippings are not transported at a low level into the grass catcher as in the case of most standard lawnmowers, but are instead thrown backwards in a high arc and remain at the back. This means the grass catcher is effectively filled from the back, without the discharge channel becoming blocked. Another bonus: The removable service flap for convenient mower maintenance. Full Catcher, Fewer Interruptions MaxAirflow technology means that the lawn clippings are thrown to the back of the grass catcher, as a result of which it is filled to the top and does not have to be emptied so often.
