Cobra RM51SP80V 80V Self-Propelled Rear Roller Cordless Lawn Mower (with 2 x 40V 5Ah Batteries & 2 x Fast Chargers)
The feature-packed Cobra RM51SP80V cordless lawn mower features a generous 51cm cutting width, self-propelled drive and a steel rear roller so you can effortlessly achieve a beautifully striped finish on medium to large lawns.
Powered by the latest lithium-ion battery technology, the RM51SP80V employs twin 40V 5Ah batteries to power the 80V brushless motor. Both batteries simply slot and click into position in the battery compartment and are easy to remove for recharging on the two rapid battery chargers provided. You can easily test the level of the batteries by pushing a button on the batteries themselves, or on the handlebar of the mower.
Easy push button start and lithium-ion technology means the mower is always ready to use, suffers from no self-discharge and has no memory effect. The safety key must be inserted into the machine before starting and removed to prevent accidental starting.
A sturdy 51cm (20") steel cutter deck features seven fully adjustable cutting heights which range from 17mm for a low finish, up to 75mm for tackling longer grass. Raising and lowering the deck is achieved by simply using the central height of cut adjustment lever which has been conveniently positioned next to the rear roller so you can set the mower up to suit the mowing conditions.
The mower is equipped with a spacious 70 litre capacity grass bag, perfect for collecting a large volume of grass clippings before the need to empty. For optimum collection, even of damp grass, the RM51SP80V also has an integral fan beneath the deck. The grass bag has a grass fill indicator which flaps until the bag is full and is made from a robust, high quality fabric which enables a strong, free flow of air making grass collection even more compact and comprehensive.
At 33kg the Cobra RM51SP80V is a lightweight and manoeuvrable rear roller mower. When the mowing is complete, the handlebars fold over for space-saving storage in your shed or garage.

Get Set for Striped Perfection
Lawn mower manufacturers have been pursuing alternatives to traditional petrol and corded mowers, building upon advances in battery technology which means that modern lithium-ion batteries offer a considerably higher energy density than the old-fashioned nickel-cadmium variety. Battery-powered rear roller lawn mowers now have enough clout to give their petrol-guzzling equivalents a run for their money, with improved batteries, chargers and run time.
Nothing is more pleasing to the eye than classic lawn stripes to create neighbourhood lawn envy and achieving this isn't complicated. The rear roller creates stripes by pushing the blades of grass forwards and pressing them down as the mower passes over. The actual stripe effect is caused by light reflecting off the grass; the lighter shade comes from the blades of grass facing away from you and the darker shade is caused by shadows of the blades of grass facing you. The beautiful thing about striping a lawn is that you don't necessarily have to walk in a straight line for the effet to work. You can create just about any pattern you like, as long as you continue to bend the grass in opposite directions.
These cordless rear roller lawn mowers deliver fantastic cutting results without the pollution, noise and hassle that has, until fairly recently, been an inescapable part of of routine lawn care, or the restriction of a power cord.
