Engineering improvements combined with new features make it well worth taking a second look at this lightweight pruning saw. And an automatic aluminium oil pump, with adjustable flow, allows variation of lubricant flow to match conditions. It is driven by the clutch housing, so delivers zero oil flow with the engine idling.

Powered by a 1.3hp / 25.4cc engine, the GST 250 top handle saw features Oleo-Mac's 'EasyOn' starting system which ensures a smooth pick-up of the engine with no kickback and a limited number of pulls. Equipped with a 25cm (10") guide bar, the lateral chain tensioner allows the operator to adjust the chain tension swiftly, even in tricky positions. The metal oil pump with adjustable flow rate lets the flow rate of the lubricant be adapted based on the different types of use (type of wood, weather conditions, type of oil). The filter is removable without tools for easy maintenance.

The Oleo-Mac GST 250 features a specific hook which allows the operator to hang the chainsaw from a belt for unimpeded access to branches which are hard to reach. The cushioned operating handle means the carburetor is not subject to vibrations, ensuring a high degree of carburation so the job can be performed comfortably in all work positions.

The chainsaw features a special steel folding snap hook which attaches the machine to the operator harness in seconds and allows the saw to hang from the body of the operator, making it the perfect chainsaw for limbing and felling, both at ground level and at heights.

The GST 360 is powered by a 35.1cc / 2.0hp environmentally-friendly, low-emission engine and includes Oleo-Mac's 'EasyOn' system which cushions the initial effect generated by compression of the professional engine to ensure effortless starting, and 'Air Purge' which favours an easy restart from cold and after refuelling. The 'AlwaysOn' switch shuts off the engine straight away and resets automatically, ensuring the machine is always ready to start. The 'OnBoard Clutch' feature allows fast attachment of the cutting tool, and improved care of the clutch itself, ensuring it stays cleaner and lasts longer. A generously-sized nylon filter element enhances the air intake to the engine, as well as speeding up maintenance. Translucent fluid tanks allow fuel and oil levels to be checked easily and regularly to avoid unexpected stoppages for refilling.

Equipped with a  30cm (12") bar and chain, the GST 360 is lightweight at 3.8kg (without bar and chain), and is for sole use by certified tree-climbing professionals.
