The Cobra Fortis 17E employs Peak Power™ Technology which combines the power of any two industry-leading EGO 56V ARC Lithium™ batteries to provide cleaner, quieter and safer lawn mowing at a fraction of the cost of petrol power. The operator's LCD screen, integrated into the control panel, displays essential information including travel speed, battery charge level and an hour meter.

The Fortis 17E features a 43cm cutting width and six-bladed precision-ground cutting cylinder which achieves the finest possible finish with a scissor-like cutting action at a remarkable rate of 79 cuts per metre. This versatile lawn mower benefits from an interchangeable cassette system to allow the cutting cylinder to be quickly removed and replaced with a range of optional lawn care accessories.

The combination of a steel front roller and cast, ribbed, split-differential rear roller helps to create the beautiful, defined stripes on your lawn that are the hallmark of a cylinder lawn mower. If you have flower beds to navigate around, the rollers also let you overhang the lawn edge slightly to allow you to cut right up to the edge without the worry of the blades scalping the lawn. The cutting height can be adjusted from an exceptionally low 6mm up to 30mm via a single screw so you can select the ideal mowing height for your chosen area and the conditions.

The front-fitting grass box has a generous 65 litre capacity and provides efficient debris collection and easy emptying. Convenient folding handles allow for easy transportation and compact storage.

A grooved roller is also available which can be fitted in place of the smooth front roller, as well as a turf rake to help improve cutting performance.

Cobra's quick exchange lawn care system - versatility at an affordable price

A major technological breakthrough in lawn care came with the birth of the quick exchange concept, which is key to Cobra's range of cylinder mowers. One of the biggest innovations in the world of cylinder lawn mowing for several decades, this is an interchangeable system which allows you to remove the cylinder blades from the mower quickly and easily as a complete cassette. You can then either have the blades re-ground or simply replace them with a new cutting cassette. This makes maintenance of your cylinder mower much easier and prolongs its life. 

The second major benefit of the cartridge system is the ultimate versatility it offers, allowing you to easily convert your cylinder mower to suit different lawn maintenance tasks. The cutting blade cassette can be simply removed and replaced by one of the following lawn care cartridge attachments:-
