  1. Bertolini 400 Rear Tine Rotary Cultivator

The 400 rotary cultivator from Italian manufacturer Bertolini is ideal for home users with small gardens and allotments requiring periodic soil preparation for sowing, even in particularly difficult conditions.

The rear tine cultivator is equipped with a 50cm wide counter-rotating rotor assembly which facilitates work operations. The rotor turns in the opposite direction to the direction of rotation of the wheels, thus giving the operator the maximum control of the cultivator and significantly reducing transmitted vibration levels. The working depth can be adjusted with six different settings.

Driving the rotor is a powerful 182cc Emak K 700 H OHV engine. The recoil-starting machine has a two-speed gearbox with one forward plus one reverse gear, making it easier to manoeuvre, especially on sloping ground. The ON/OFF and accelerator controls are conveniently located on the handgrip for maximum accessibility.

Weighing in at 75kg and featuring height-adjustable handles to suit the operator's posture, the Bertolini 400 rear tine cultivator has front ballast installed to improve stability during use.

Powerful and reliable, easy to handle, reversible and versatile, this machine represents the ideal solution for cultivating jobs throughout the seasons.

The Bertolini 401 S rear tine tiller is powered by a punchy 163cc Honda GX160 OHV petrol four-stroke engine with easy-pull recoil start mechanism. Forward and reverse gears offer enhanced manoeuvrability around the plot. The oil-immersed transmission confers impressive long term dependability.

The machine is equipped with a 50cm wide rotavator comprising 12 spikes with a tilling depth up to 14cm. The working depth is adjustable, whilst the width can be reduced to 35cm with optional kit L0116300.

  3. Orec Pico SF600D 50cm Rear Tine Petrol Cultivator

The Pico SF600D, a rear tine garden tiller from the reputable Japanese brand Orec, is powerful, robust and compact, making it ideal for both home or landscaper use.

Featuring a 50cm (20") tilling width, the shaft drive rotor is equipped with 14 tines. The forward rotating tines work hard not only to break ground, but also break up the soil into fine clumps. The machine boasts a unique contra rotation blade system which enables reverse rotation of one tiller section. This feature allows you to work on even on the hardest terrain without having to struggle to control the stability of the machine. If you have hard, rocky ground, all you have to do is set the adjustment bar to a shallower depth.

Powering the petrol Orec Pico SF600D is a 163cc Honda GX160 engine which includes two forward and one reverse gear. With its one-clutch lever, you’ll find the operation of the cultivator to be simple and user-friendly. The SF600D has a locking differential feature that forces the wheels to move in tandem, which helps the operator to till forward in a straight line with ease.

Rough terrain tyres keep the machine moving through mud and rough ground, whilst the handles fold for more compact transportation and storage.
