Description

The tough answer to taming and maintaining rough ground, the EGO Power+ BCX3800 commercial line trimmer / brush cutter is perfectly balanced for comfortable use all day, every day. Light yet strong, the carbon fibre drive shaft won’t bend or lose shape over time, keeping vibration levels to a minimum.

The power comes from EGO's professional backpack battery and the ready-for-anything, rear-mounted 2kW brushless motor.

The tool is versatile, and can be used with either the line trimmer or brush cutter head included, as well as the optional RTX2300 rotocut, which will take your capabilities to another level. When the line trimmer head is attached, the line is housed inside a manual wind bump feed head. It is supplied with 2.4mm line, but is capable of holding line up to 3mm thick to assist with cutting more stubborn areas.

It is also supplied with a 30cm three-tooth brush cutter blade with a 30cm cutting width, which means you can get closer to hard-to-reach areas which are regular pain points. The bike-style handlebars incorporate a variable speed trigger with safety lock-off.

A hip pad (AHP1500) harness is included in the box to prevent injury or unnecessary wear to your clothing whilst in use.

EGO's COMMITMENT TO A GREENER ENVIRONMENT

EGO’s commitment to innovation is driven by a talented team of highly qualified technicians responsible for developing and delivering clean, reliable power tools for today’s switched-on customers. In 2004 EGO installed a 7,000m2 Green Roof system to their dedicated R&D facility. This has saved the equivalent of 5 litres of petrol per m2 each year. The roof of the Green Power Industrial Park features a 2-megawatt photovoltaic power station.

Known as ‘The Blue Roof’, the power this generates, year-on-year, saves the equivalent of 755 tonnes of coal, as well as cutting Sulphur Dioxide emissions by 50 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 1,677 tonnes annually. The Green Power Industrial Park also utilises the latest in ground-source heating, air-conditioning and water-storage technologies. The ground-source heating system alone saves a massive 1 million KWh of electricity annually, the equivalent of 378 tonnes of coal. This cuts Sulphur Dioxide emissions by around 25 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 839 tonnes each year.

For domestic users EGO Power+ offers a five year warranty on all tools and a three year warranty on batteries, when registered within 30 days of purchase.

Professional user

EGO Power+ offers professional users a three year warranty on the Professional-X range, and a two year warranty on the Professional range when tools are registered within 30 days of purchase.
