The CSX5000 is the first in a line-up of new generation EGO Power+ cordless rear handle chainsaws which meets the needs of commercial users who demand a ground saw to complete the toughest jobs. Balance is a key focus of the new design, ensuring the saw can be used for longer periods. With robust safety features and run-times as standard, the Pro X CSX5000 will enhance the productivity and protect the wellbeing of landscaping professionals and grounds maintenance teams.

Equipped with a long 50cm / 20" guide bar and chain, the EGO Power+ CSX5000 is one of the most powerful rechargeable chainsaws of its kind to enable operators to cut faster while still maintaining great comfort and safety. The chainsaw will also accept a 40cm and 45cm bar and chain.

The CSX5000 utilises full chisel chains making cutting fast and efficient. Cutting at a high speed of 30m/s, the chainsaw provides all the power and torque you need to quickly cut through thick branches and larger logs. Metal lbumper spikes enable stable cross cutting. Tool-free chain tensioning makes adjustment simple, while its auto-lubrication feature keeps the chain moving freely at all times - it has a handy oil inspection window too.

The safety features include chain kickback and electric brake to protect teams while they work, as well producing lower noise levels, less vibration and zero emissions. And because they are quieter, lighter with no emissions and less vibration, teams can work comfortably for longer.

The chainsaw is equipped with a high-efficiency brushless motor which delivers a smooth cut and extends the life of the tool and its run time. It also features a new display screen which clearly shows oil level, battery capacity and adjustable speed. The Pro X chainsaw is compatible with a number of battery options offering ultimate flexibility to complete any job, large or small.

EGO’s commitment to innovation is driven by a talented team of highly qualified technicians responsible for developing and delivering clean, reliable power tools for today’s switched-on customers. In 2004 EGO installed a 7,000m2 Green Roof system to their dedicated R&D facility. This has saved the equivalent of 5 litres of petrol per m2 each year. The roof of the Green Power Industrial Park features a 2-megawatt photovoltaic power station.

Known as ‘The Blue Roof’, the power this generates, year-on-year, saves the equivalent of 755 tonnes of coal, as well as cutting Sulphur Dioxide emissions by 50 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 1,677 tonnes annually. The Green Power Industrial Park also utilises the latest in ground-source heating, air-conditioning and water-storage technologies. The ground-source heating system alone saves a massive 1 million KWh of electricity annually, the equivalent of 378 tonnes of coal. This cuts Sulphur Dioxide emissions by around 25 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 839 tonnes each year.

For domestic users EGO Power+ offers a five year warranty on all tools and a three year warranty on batteries, when registered within 30 days of purchase.

Professional user

EGO Power+ offers professional users a three year warranty on the Professional-X range, and a two year warranty on the Professional range when tools are registered within 30 days of purchase.
