EGO's first Pro X multi tool head provides all day working for the professional user. The motor and PCB have both been upgraded to ensure the power head is robust and suitable for the toughest tasks. The EGO Power+ PHX1600 forms part of the new generation of Pro X tools with BLE connectivity built in, allowing monitoring of firmware status, battery capacity and run times.

Equivalent to a 35cc petrol motor, the Pro X power head is equipped with a powerful and smooth high efficiency brushless motor. The variable speed trigger has been optimised for greater versatility when working across various multi tools and tasks, featuring three speeds. The unit is lightweight, perfectly balanced and ready for a variety of gardening jobs when coupled with the attachments, which can be simply and securely inserted into the coupling mechanism.

The 2.0mm thick carbon fibre shaft keeps the tool rigid and is great for durability and light weight. The loop handle is adjustable for even greater comfort, and a single shoulder strap is also included to reduce fatigue. A hang loop allows hanging use from belts and harnesses

With a single power unit and a large range of high-tech attachments, you can easily tackle every garden chore, from trimming grass, dethatching and edging lawns, cutting hedges, sawing branches, tilling soil, to sweeping the patio. Switching between different jobs is simple thanks to the secure tool-free coupling system on every attachment. EGO’s commitment to innovation is driven by a talented team of highly qualified technicians responsible for developing and delivering clean, reliable power tools for today’s switched-on customers. Their desire to create a greener future isn’t limited to the products they develop, it also pervades the ways they operate and the places they work.

In 2004 EGO installed a 7,000m2 Green Roof system to their dedicated R&D facility. This has saved the equivalent of 5 litres of petrol per m2 each year. The roof of the Green Power Industrial Park features a 2-megawatt photovoltaic power station.

Known as ‘The Blue Roof’, the power this generates, year-on-year, saves the equivalent of 755 tonnes of coal, as well as cutting Sulphur Dioxide emissions by 50 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 1,677 tonnes annually. The Green Power Industrial Park also utilises the latest in ground-source heating, air-conditioning and water-storage technologies. The ground-source heating system alone saves a massive 1 million KWh of electricity annually, the equivalent of 378 tonnes of coal. This cuts Sulphur Dioxide emissions by around 25 tonnes and Carbon Dioxide emissions by 839 tonnes each year.
