Robotic Lawn Mowers

The GreenWorks Optimow 5 is a fully automated robotic lawn mower designed to expertly maintain lawns of up to 550 square metres (that's just over two tennis courts). Installation is simple with everything you need included, simply peg down a perimeter wire and connect to the base station.

Once installed the Optimow will cut the lawn according to your pre-set schedule, charging itself when necessary. You have full control from the Bluetooth enabled App to alter mowing times if required, and the built-in lift and collision sensors ensure safety at all times.

The concept is simple and involves a boundary wire around the perimeter of your lawn, this can be pegged into the lawn or buried, once installed the Optimow 5 mows the lawn in a random pattern leaving a carpet like finish. For complex garden shapes, the optional guide wire allows the Optimow to easily navigate back to the base station for charging.

The Optimow 5 can be controlled via Bluetooth from the GreenWorks app, where you can monitor and update the machine as well as alter settings and schedules. Connectivity works up to 32 metres from the machine. Depending on the size of your lawn you set a mowing schedule either on the machine or via the Greenworks app, Optimow 5 will then follow this schedule automatically.

The cutting method is ‘little and often’ which leaves very small grass clippings which fall down to the grass roots and are not visible to the eye. This grass then naturally decomposes and acts as a fertiliser, giving a healthier and greener looking lawn.

The Optimow 5 doesn’t know where it has mowed and doesn’t need to. By mowing a random pattern regularly, it covers the whole lawn easily only ever cutting very small amounts at a time, leaving a perfectly level surface.

The Optimow 5 is designed with safety in mind, featuring an integrated lifting sensor which automatically stops the blades when the machine is lifted. The collision sensors allow Optimow to recognise obstacles, with the machine stopping and turning away to mow elsewhere.

The compact footprint of the Optimow makes it discreet when mowing, and its exceptionally low operating noise means you’ll forget its even there. Optimow 5 knows when its battery level is low, and automatically returns to the base station to charge itself, before resuming cutting when ready.

The HYRM1000 is a fully robotic ‘robo’ lawn mower from Hyundai. Fitted with a 22.2V lithium-ion rechargeable battery, the HYRM1000 automatically mows and recharges as and when you require. Supplied with a 100 metre boundary wire, the HYRM1000 is the ideal robotic lawn mower for small to medium to large lawns up to a maximum of 625 square metres.

Featuring artificial intelligence, the Hyundai robotic lawn mower navigates through your garden intelligently mowing in all types of garden terrains.

The Hyundai HYRM1000 robotic lawn mower is powered by a 50 watt brushless, long life motor. Brushless motors are maintenance-free and designed to offer many years of trouble-free use. Lower quality mowers use a less efficient and higher maintenance brushed motor.

With a cutting width of 180mm, the HYRM1000 is well suited for all garden shapes and sizes. Capable of mowing on uneven hilly surfaces, the HYRM1000 tackles uneven and sloped areas of up to 30%.

Self mulching, the Hyundai robot mower drops the fine grass clippings back into the lawn acting as a natural fertiliser for a healthier greener lawn, saving yourself the task of disposing of the grass cuttings common with a traditional lawn mower.

With seven cutting heights, ranging from 25mm for a smooth lawn to 55mm for cutting longer grass, the HYRM1000 puts you in control over the finish of your cut. The height is adjusted by a single position dial, allowing you to adjust height with ease.

The user friendly control panel allows you to program the lawn mower in four different mowing patterns: edge, spiral, zig-zag and random. You can also set the start point, so if you have two lawns joined by a narrow grass section, you could set the start point for mowing each section on different days. Once the robot has been installed and programmed it works independently and reliably from your chosen settings.

The mower is equipped with a variety of safety sensors including lift and bump. If the lawn mower is lifted or tilted the blade will stop automatically. Featuring a rain sensor, the HYRM1000 detects a change in precipitation and drives itself back to the docking station and waits for better weather. This option can be deactivated as the HYRM1000 is waterproof. The HYRM100 also features an emergency stop button and rear carry handle.

The robot lawn mower is protected with a PIN code and is protected against theft. If the robot is stolen from your garden, it cannot be started without the security pin.

Quick and easy to assemble out of the box simply, you simply need to mark out the boundary wire and program the mower. The HYRM1000 works independently, driving itself back to the recharging station when the battery becomes low, recharges itself and then continues mowing. You will never need to mower your lawn yourself again.
