Towed Sweepers, Collectors & Leaf Blowers

This towed folding brush from SCH Supplies ensures a thorough grooming operation to help you maintain your sports surface.  

The unit consists of three sections of brushes with a a generous ground contact width of 152mm (6") and overall working width of 365cm (144").  The outer two sections can be folded up to reduce the working width to 122cm (48").

The folding brush unit can easily be towed to the work area on a transport wheeled frame which is also supplied. It comes with a clevis hitch fixing as standard, suitable for towing behind most makes of lawn tractor. An optional ball hitch fixing can be purchased at the time of ordering. 

Supplied in two forms, a three-point linkage version of the folding brush unit is also available.

The TS98 lawn sweeper is robust in construction to withstand prolonged heavy use. British built by SCH with parts of the highest standard, this is probably the best value and one of the most effective sweepers on the market.

The sweeper may be used for grass collection after mowing, leaf collection and other garden debris. To achieve the best results when hard surface sweeping, a rubber strip can be fitted at time of manufacture (see accessories below).

The brush shaft is split in the centre acting as a differential. Therefore each drive wheel powers the sweeper brushes giving twice the performance and efficiency compared with one free wheel. The stainless steel brush shaft differential has an advanced method with grease nipple and spiral machined into the connecting pin for even distribution of grease.

Four rows of brushes, which are mounted on a hardwood stock, can be replaced once worn out by simply bolting new brushes directly onto the drive shaft without having to disturb the drive gear mechanism. If the sweeper is set at the correct height, the bristle tips just sit a fraction above the surface of the ground and will last a long time.

PARTS

Due to the TS98 being manufacturerd and assembled at SCH (Ipswich), all replacement parts are readily available and can usually be despatched for next day delivery. The all-metal drive mechanism is very durable for prolonged heavy use. The drive gears are less likely to strip apposed to nylon gears used in cheaper versions.

MAINTENANCE

The TS98 requires limited maintenance provided that it is used in dry conditions. A simple 'wash down' will remove any debris. If the machine is not to be used for a while, it is recommended that all moving metal parts be lubricated. Routine checking of parts to ensure bolts are secure, etc, should be all that is required.

This SCH hard surface towed sweeper benefits from a sprung floor, which allows the sand to flow back through the base of the hopper, at the same time collecting debris such as leaves, seeds and twigs.

A differential mechanism on the brushes which allows the sweeper to be manoeuvred in tight corners without the wheels scuffing; height adjustment is simple.  Both wheels drive the pick up brushes giving excellent sweeping power.  The main drive is transmitted via metal gears.

A cover plate is supplied with each machine to cover the mesh floor in sweeping operations where all debris is required to be collected.

The SCH tow-behind leaf blower moves leaves in bulk, leaving them ready for collection.  The blower, in effect, replaces a manual rake.  The blower also makes a simple task of moving leaves from flower beds, edges of driveways, paths, etc. 

The hand conversion handle is supplied as standard which makes the leaf blower an extremely useful leaf manager in areas where it is too restricted to operate a tractor.

This large capacity leaf collector has been developed by SCH to tow behind lawn tractors having the description known as "twin cut".  Other machines can be adapted on request.

Lawn tractors have a centre rear discharge that blows the cut grass and leaves into a limited size hopper, which results in frequent emptying and can become time consuming and frustrating.  The advantage of the TRCL is that it greatly increases the collecting capacity so that larger areas can be collected in one fill, thus reducing the amount of time and labour required.

The TRCL features a powerful motorised fan unit which is mounted on the front and sucks up the green waste from the cutter deck, then propels it to the trailer.  The trailer has a low centre of gravity, which makes it extremely stable on hilly ground.  Wide pneumatic wheels greatly reduce wheel markings on soft ground. It has now been iftted with a small trasnportwheel to the bottom of he foot stand.

The fan on the unit is belt-driven to protect the engine should a blockage occur.

This SCH large capacity trailed collector is also suitable for use on level tarmac and gravel surfaces.

Optional Accessory

A wandering hose kit is optional.  The suction/delivery hose has a diameter of 200mm / 8". 

Side discharge cutter decks can be fitted with a 'boot' to accept the collection hose.

The PSU fan unit boasts a powerful 9hp Honda engine and is mounted on a two-wheel chassis with an integral tow bar complete with hand-held collection nozzle. The fan is belt driven and not fitted directly onto the crankshaft of the engine.

The preferred way of using this leaf suction unit is to attach it to the rear of the leaf collecting trailer. This trailer can be supplied with the trailer adaptation kit - it is up to you whether you modify your own trailer or we can arrange for SCH to collect and modify it for you.

The discharge hose is attached to the rear of the trailer allowing the user to set to sucking up fallen leaves fast. The hand-held suction hose has skid rails on the tube end for ease of operation.  The large diameter suction hose reduces the risk of blockages. A combined team of the suction hose operator and a person driving the lawn tractor can clear along drives and road edges at very impressive speeds.  The leaves passing through the fan are chopped up, greatly increasing the capacity of the trailer and reducing the amount of empties.  Many operators use this equipment in conjunction with a hand-held blower to suck out leaves from flower beds before collecting them with the suction unit.

The EPB has been built to reduce the manual collection of horse droppings and improve pasture management.

Suitable for use with most garden tractors and ATVs. Four rows of tough propropelene brushes that can sweep horse droppings, wet / dry grass and leaves. The brush height can be easily adjusted.

The regular removal of droppings promotes healthy grass and helps reduce droppings related diseases. Four rows of height adjustable brushes rotate at variable speeds to flick the droppings into the rot proof rear collecting box. The brushes are driven by a 5.5hp Honda engine equipped with a speed reduction gear box which incorporates a centrifugal clutch, this means when the engine speed is reduced the brushes stop revolving, a necessary feature when moving from heap to heap.

The PSUST is a slow-tow version of the PSU.  The two-wheel chassis is complete with suspension units and required lighting. 

The hand-held suction nozzle is fitted to three meters of 200mm diameter hose.

The discharge is via a metal tube with a swivel base to allow the direction to be altered. The discharge head is also adjustable.

A jockey wheel and 50mm ball hitch is fitted as standard.

The fan belt is driven and not fitted directly onto the crankshaft of the engine.

This collector has been designed specifically by British manufacturer SCH (Supplies) to harvest seeds in wild flower meadows. The brushes are powered by a Honda 5.5hp petrol manual start engine.

The collector drawbar is offset from the pulling vehicle so that the flowers are not flattened before the seeds are collected. The seeds are collected in the integral rear-mounted collection compartment which can easily be emptied via a convenient access door located on the side of the machine. The collected seeds can then be discharged into a bucket or sack by removing the internal drawer.

Featuring a working width of 925mm (37"), the height is adjustable from as low as 150mm (6") up to a maximum of 600mm (24").  A manual hydraulic pump operates a ram mounted at the rear of the unit that allows simple height adjustment.
