Masport 21" CONTRACTOR BBC 3-in-1 3-speed Self-Propelled Petrol Lawn Mower

Designed for serious workload and commercial use, the Masport Contractor 21" BBC mower is built from heavy-duty components at every stage and powered by a professional-grade Briggs & Stratton engine.

The power behind the self-propelled Contractor mower is a 190cc Briggs & Stratton 850EX Series ECO PLUS™ OHV with ReadyStart® engine and three-speed gearbox. Masport's Zonestart^® feature conveniently positions the starter cord higher up the handlebar and eliminates the need to bend all the way down to pull-start, reducing the risk of back strain. 

Blade brake clutch (known as BBC) is a feature that allows you to move away from the Contractor lawn mower without shutting off the engine. The blade brake clutch disengages the blade and stops it turning, whilst the engine continues to run. The main benefit of blade brake clutch is that you'll only need to start the engine once each time you use the mower, even if you step away from the machine to move an obstacle, or need to "drive" the mower between areas of grass without the blades turning.

The mower boasts a 52cm (18") deck with rugged 14-gauge steel housing. The Quadcut^® disk cutting system comprises four swing back blades specially designed for increased airflow and productivity whilst cutting and mulching, whilst the swing back blade design protects the crankshaft from damage if the blade hits a solid object. The height of cut can be easily adjusted via a single lever between 13mm and 60mm.

The 3-in-1 Contractor is suitable for collecting grass clippings into a spacious 80 litre fabric catcher, mulching with the mulch plug provided, and rear discharging for safely discharging via a chute when mowing longer grass without a collector. 

Heavy-duty components include reinforced axles, handle system and control cables, large diameter aluminium wheels with sealed ball bearings, bumper housing protection, commercial clutch and three-speed aluminium gearbox.
