The RTC-100 from Rock Machinery features a dual chipping system, meaning when the branches are pulled in by the hydraulic feed roller its first met with a conventional rotor with two blades and then the wood is chipped down even further by eight hammers mounted behind the blades. The dual chipping system will make short work of branches and greenery up to 90mm.
The Rock RTC-100 also features a heavy-duty commercial centrifugal clutch and twin belt drive system powered by a 13hp Briggs and Stratton engine with electric start. This chipper was designed to be powerful, simple robust and easy to use.
The feed rollers are controlled using the handle on the hopper and have forward, reverse and neutral positions. There is also an hydraulic shut-off lever which will immediately stop the feed roller. The RTC-100 features a 300 degree discharge chute with adjustable directional plate so you can choose the direction and angle of chip discharge. Other notable features include easy access to blades and maintenance ports, storage compartment, rear support stand and storable wheel chocks.
The RTC-100 one of Rock Machinery's first road towable chippers. It's fitted with a specialist ALKO road worthy axle with road-worthy tyres. The chipper itself is mounted to a robust heavy duty "A" frame for stability. It also features a built-in trailer light system with indicator, brake etc with license plater holder. The front of the "A" frame is fitted with a 50mm ball hitch and jockey wheel.
