With cordless garden tools colonising garden sheds around the country, AL-KO has added the SF 4036 battery-powered lawn scarifier to its 36V range to form part of your lawncare routine.

With its sleek shape and effective results, AL-KO's lithium-ion battery technology means faster, cleaner, cheaper and quieter moss and thatch removal with this quality cordless lawn scarifier. A cord-free alternative to an electric lawn scarifier and hassle-free compared to petrol models.

The compact AL-KO SF 4036 is powered by an interchangeable and fully rechargeable 36 volt lithium-ion battery which delivers around 10 minutes operating time on a single 90 minute charge of a 4Ah battery. If you want more, a 5Ah battery will give you 15 minutes on a 120 minute charge.

Equipped with 12 scarifying blades, the SF 4036 will easily remove thatch from the grass roots, whilst the optional lawn raking drum can be used for lighter raking of the lawn. The working height can be conveniently changed centrally with a single hand movement. A spacious 50 litre debris collector is included. The working depth of the scarifier can be adjusted centrally through five positions.

The AL-KO 36V platform revolves around a powerful 36V (max 40V) powerpack and comprises a selection of lawn mowers, a lawn scarifier and an array of different hand tools including multi tools so you have everything you need for your garden. Choose between the Easy, Comfort and Premium ranges to perfectly match your requirements.

The lawn mower kits come with either one or two batteries and charger which means that you can purchase the hand tools more cost-effectively without a battery. If the battery is fully charged, it can work for up to 120 minutes depending on the device. Additional 4Ah, 5Ah and 8Ah batteries are available to purchase for increased run times.

The 2-in-1 GreenWorks GD40SC38 lawn scarifier and dethatcher is designed to ventilate the soil enabling the grass roots to breathe again so that water, air and nutrients can infiltrate the turf for a greener, denser lawn. The machine utilises two different cassettes which be easily interchanged without the use of tools.

The rake cassette has 24 sharp, yet flexible, stainless steel spring tines which gently comb the thatch to the surface. This removes moss, dead grass clippings and other debris which inhibit grass growth, thereby promoting the growth of healthy grass and preventing diseases from developing in the lawn. 

The scarifier cassette employs 20 knife-like steel blades which slice into the soil to aid aeration, whilst also removing thatch.

The hand-propelled GreenWorks GD40SC38 has a central, five-stage tine depth adjustment ranging from +5mm – -12mm. Comfort is ensured thanks to the padded, ergonomic handlebar which also folds for more compact storage.

Featuring a brushless motor, the GD40SC38 is compatible with all the batteries and chargers in the GreenWorks 40V cordless garden tool range.
