SCH Artificial and Hard Surface Care

The SCH rubber drag mat is constructed from moulded rubber with a galvanised towing bar.  It is ideal for use on most surfaces, both natural and artificial.  The rubber matting lessens surface damage that may be caused by heavier metal units.

The SCH chemical applicator is fitted to the carrier frame to apply required chemical to long fibre synthetic sports surfaces, of which 3G is the most common at this time.

The chemical is applied by dribble/drip bar mounted in front of the row of scarifying tines, in order to apply the chemical and then the tines will open up the surface to allow the prescribed chemical to reach the required areas.  Flow rates can be adjusted to suit the required application rate.

Power to the pump is supplied from the towing unit.  An independent battery may be fitted if required.

A clevis hitch is fitted as standard. A 50mm ball hitch can be fitted as an optional extra.

A weight tray is incorporated in the design in order that top weight may be added to aid penetration on heavily compacted surfaces. The weight tray can also be used to transport tools and equipment.

The advantages of the 3TMB2 include being able to be lifted up to reverse into corners or tight spaces, and can be lifted out of work at row ends to keep stripes uniform and looking their best.

The two rows of brushes have a cross bar system which adjusts the flex of the bristles. The brush can be lifted out of work easily for turning and transport from the driver's postition.

The decompaction rake has been specifically designed by SCH to alleviate the compaction on third generation artificial surfaces.  The decompaction rake firstly relieves the compaction with a row of spring tines; this action pulls up the matted surfaces and the compacted rubber /sand fill.  Two rows of levelling bars re-spread the fill to the surface. Finally a strip brush smartens up the surface.

The SCH decompaction rake is mounted on a four wheel chassis.  The two front wheels are solid castors to allow for turning in tight corners.  The two rear wheels are on jack legs.  All four wheels have adjusting facilities, this means the exact penetration pressure is put on the tines.

The rear brush can be removed if required or the unit may be adjusted so the brush only is in contact with the surface.  The decompaction rake can be pulled by its tow bar or a three point linkage version is available.

The two rear wheels can be jacked down to raise the entire unit for transport to the storage area.

The DCR incorporates a carrying tray which is useful to carry small tools, collection of litter, etc.

This SCH hard surface towed sweeper benefits from a sprung floor, which allows the sand to flow back through the base of the hopper, at the same time collecting debris such as leaves, seeds and twigs.

A differential mechanism on the brushes which allows the sweeper to be manoeuvred in tight corners without the wheels scuffing; height adjustment is simple.  Both wheels drive the pick up brushes giving excellent sweeping power.  The main drive is transmitted via metal gears.

A cover plate is supplied with each machine to cover the mesh floor in sweeping operations where all debris is required to be collected.

The sweeper is powered by a 5.5hp Honda engine and fitted with a speed reduction gear box. The brushes are height adjustable so the sweeper can be set with great accuracy to apply the exact level of lightness or firmness you need. Equipped with a centrifugal clutch, the engine speed is reduced when the brushes stop revolving, which is ideal for tight turns at the end of a run. Featuring a working width of 90cm (35½"), the debris is collected into a spacious 270 litre catcher.

A mesh floor is perfect for use on sand-filled or 3g surfaces when you need the sand to pass back onto the surface by passing through the mesh. Stones, twigs and leaves will be retained by the mesh floor. A solid cover to the mesh is also supplied in order that hard surface athletic tracks, tennis courts, etc, can be cleared entirely of even the smallest of debris, including sand.
