These professional anvil aluminium secateurs are ideal for tough, woody and general pruning, helping to reduce strain on the wrist when cutting older, thicker stems. The blade closes against a softer metal on the lower jaw which avoids unnecessary stress on the hand. This does not produce such a clean cut as bypass secateurs, but this is not so important on older growth.
These robust pruners have ergonomically designed handles which have smooth plastic inserts and a thumb rest for safety. They have an integrated spring mechanism, easy to use locking mechanism and a non-stick coated blade which has been designed to prevent over-extension of the hand. These pruners can cut through stems up to 25mm thick and the anvil block is fully replaceable.
A wrist strap is included for ease of ease and storage.
