The Billy Goat CR550HCEU is powered by a 4.6hp Honda GC160 engine coupled to a free-swinging, heat-treated tempered flail blade real and mounted to construction grade cast iron bearings with grease fittings. The flail reel can be changed over to an optional slicing reel in 10 minutes!
The heavy-duty constructed single-piece machine has low vibration due to its reduced overall number of parts, improving operator comfort and handling. An adjustable idler allows the operator to set the precise tension for maximum belt life. The padded, ergonomic handles are stiff under operation and fold for easy transport and storage.
The Billy Goat CR550HCEU will scarify 1,225 square metres (13,200 square feet) per hour at 1.5mph.

The Billy Goat CR551V is powered by a reliable 169cc Briggs & Stratton Vanguard engine coupled to a free-swinging, heat-treated tempered flail blade real and mounted to construction grade cast iron bearings with grease fittings. The flail reel can be changed over to an optional slicing reel (part no: BG350252) in 10 minutes, perfect for thinning running grasses, improving drainage and overseeding!

A professional lawn scarifier ruggedly-designed to withstand the most demanding use, the Billy Goat PR550H will remove thatch from the lawn in 51cm (20") passes at a rate of 1,225 square metres (13,200 square feet) per hour.
A high performance 163cc 4.8hp Honda GX160 four-stroke engine powers the free-swinging, heat-treated, tempered flail blade reel which is mounted to heavy-duty cast iron pillow block bearings with grease nipples. Because the rotation is down sweep, the flails propel the PR550H forward making it self-propelled and reducing operator fatigue.
The infinite height adjustment allows precise depth adjustment from 0.3cm to 1.3cm and longer blade life than preset adjustments. Heavy-duty wheels featuring a steel rim and roller bearings withstand the most demanding applications. As the machine weighs slightly more than other power rakes on the market, the Billy Goat PR550H absorbs much of the vibration before it is transferred to the handle, which improves operator comfort and handling.
Maintenance of the Billy Goat PR550H lawn scarifier is simple thanks to the premium steel pulleys, easy to adjust idler and easy to change belt, protected by a steel guards. The handles are folding with no tools required, for convenient transport and compact storage.

Choose Petrol Lawn Scarifiers and Aerators for Powerful Debris Removal
Heavier and more powerful than their electric counterparts, a petrol scarifier is ideally suited to dealing with tough areas of thatch and moss. Here at The Green Reaper, we’re delighted to offer a great range of dedicated petrol units, as well as combined petrol scarifier and aerators.
The machines we supply will allow you to remove unwanted dead lateral grass stems (thatch) which build up during the course of the season. Thatch restricts grass growing up, then moss and weeds take over, stopping the penetration of water and nutrients to the roots of your grass.
A petrol scarifier is, in effect, a vertical mechanical rake with knife blades (or wire tines) which are spaced out along an axle (reel) just like a cylinder mower. These tines act like a vigorous comb churning out debris from the grass layer. The depth can be set to just brush the surface of the soil; this procedure (grooming) is especially beneficial during the active growing season and is recommended at least once a month.
