Hyundai HYSC210 40cm Petrol Lawn Scarifier / Aerator
Designed for small to medium sized lawns up to around 20m x 20m, the Hyundai cordless 2-in-1 lawn scarifier/aerator is perfect for revitalising and reviving even the most tired and spongy of lawns. For optimum results, your lawn should be scarified every four to six weeks.
The Hyundai HYSC210 is petrol-powered by a 210cc four-stroke engine with overhead valve technology.
The versatile machine features a robust, high quality steel deck with a 40cm working width and comes with two interchangeable cassettes. The first is equipped with 19 hardened steel blades specially designed to remove moss, thatch and dead grass, which penetrate the soil allowing nutrients and moisture to be easily absorbed allowing your lawn to breathe again. A second cassette comprising 24 spring tines is also included to provide more gentle scarification of the lawn surface. With a variable height adjuster controlled from one adjustment dial, the working depths range from +15mm to -15mm putting you in control over the finish of your lawn.
As the Hyundai HYSC210 is fitted with a spacious quick release 45 litre polyester grass catcher bag, you will spend less time emptying the cuttings and more time scarifying. Attaching and removing the collection bag couldn’t be simpler, and this allows you to dispose of the cuttings quickly and conveniently.
For increased comfort, this petrol aerator features a soft grip handle, which reduces fatigue when used for long periods. The OPC (Operator Presence Control) lever ensures that the engine will not run if you let go of the handle.
The large sized wheels make manoeuvrability particularly easy and the specially designed wide tread helps protect your lawn when in use. There is also a transport position allowing movement over the lawn and paving without damaging the turf or blades.
The handles also fold down over the main power unit, which makes this compact lawn mower easy to store in a garden shed, garage or even a vehicle.

Heavier and more powerful than their electric counterparts, a petrol scarifier is ideally suited to dealing with tough areas of thatch and moss. Here at The Green Reaper, we’re delighted to offer a great range of dedicated petrol units, as well as combined petrol scarifier and aerators.
The machines we supply will allow you to remove unwanted dead lateral grass stems (thatch) which build up during the course of the season. Thatch restricts grass growing up, then moss and weeds take over, stopping the penetration of water and nutrients to the roots of your grass.
A petrol scarifier is, in effect, a vertical mechanical rake with knife blades (or wire tines) which are spaced out along an axle (reel) just like a cylinder mower. These tines act like a vigorous comb churning out debris from the grass layer. The depth can be set to just brush the surface of the soil; this procedure (grooming) is especially beneficial during the active growing season and is recommended at least once a month.
