GTM Professional GTV400 Petrol Lawn Scarifier
With the GTV400 scarifier from GTM Professional in your gardening armoury, you can quickly and easily rid your lawn of moss and thatch.
With a working width of 41cm and powered by a Loncin G200F 196cc four-stroke engine with adjustable throttle, this compact, lightweight and powerful scarifying machine is suitable for lawns up to approximately 2,000 square metres.
The single-axle lawn scarifier has four sub-axles with hardened steel metal flails that effectively tease moss and weeds out of the lawn. The working depth of the GTV400 can be adjusted in five positions from 0cm to 2.5cm using the levers on each of the front wheels to give the best results on all lawn surfaces.

Choose Petrol Lawn Scarifiers and Aerators for Powerful Debris Removal
Heavier and more powerful than their electric counterparts, a petrol scarifier is ideally suited to dealing with tough areas of thatch and moss. Here at The Green Reaper, we’re delighted to offer a great range of dedicated petrol units, as well as combined petrol scarifier and aerators.
The machines we supply will allow you to remove unwanted dead lateral grass stems (thatch) which build up during the course of the season. Thatch restricts grass growing up, then moss and weeds take over, stopping the penetration of water and nutrients to the roots of your grass.
A petrol scarifier is, in effect, a vertical mechanical rake with knife blades (or wire tines) which are spaced out along an axle (reel) just like a cylinder mower. These tines act like a vigorous comb churning out debris from the grass layer. The depth can be set to just brush the surface of the soil; this procedure (grooming) is especially beneficial during the active growing season and is recommended at least once a month.
